Remember to love yourselves and one another, regardless of silly things like body hair!

No Shave November isn’t about body hair. It’s about raising awareness for men’s health which ALWAYS gets the short end of the stick when compared to women’s health issues. Stop trying to hijack it and make some social justice issue.

Ah, thanks for telling me that. Actually looked it up. Wasn’t aware that its original intention is to raise awareness and funding for prostate cancer.

However… the website even states:

Ladies! Don’t think that just because you can’t grow a burly beard you can’t participate in No Shave November…You can! Now it may not be on your face, but hair does grow on your body…the most commonly sported female hair is on the legs and under the arms. Now its quite uncommon for even males in our society to be unkempt in general, but its especially uncommon for females to go all natural. So we want to give you a special word of encouragement and thanks for supporting the ways of the hairy. Only a few select women have what it takes to participate in this tradition. We commend you.

A note from one of the female Noshember Facebook groups:

“For all the girls who think they can go for all of november without shaving. We are standing up for our right as women!”
“How long can you go? *oh, btw, this group is only for legs. feel free to shave other places as you wish, cuz i’m not gonna go there*”

So the website is even saying that it’s a duel action campaign in a way.

But yes, people shouldn’t forget that its intention is to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer.

Check out this article on good.is it’s a living wall in Barcelona. I looks like a shared-urban-rainforest. This could be incredible, not only for attractiveness, the air quality, and various other ‘green’ ideals, but because of the outlet it can provide while still in the city.

I’ve read that spending time in nature or outside not only relieves the stresses built up from the daily grind but can also make you a more intelligent person. Who wouldn’t want that?
